On pavements you may encounter...

… A jutting-up paving slab
a broken drain cover
a pile of bricks
Some wee kids playing while their parents build a patch of wall beside the road

A guy or a family tying together reeds for brushes
A shoe-seller
A shoe shiner
An alteration tailor with his table and hand-turned machine

Multiple ice-cream stalls
A coconut seller - for the juice
A fruit seller - bananas, pomegranate, grapes
A fresh juice seller - carrots etc.
A tree or three
Some weeds and rubble
Some sleeping or feeding dogs and puppies
A cow or collection of cows and their dung.

Mesembryanthemums

Are you wondering what on earth they are? Have a look at this:

Also known as Livingstone Daisies, they come from Southern Africa and have amazing colours and sparkly leaves. I think they're "succulents". My favourite flower, hence the original name of my blog!  (In 2019, adapting the colourful theme I changed the blog name to "rungichungi" which means multicoloured in Nepali)

So now you know!
